Depot Equipment Maintenance and Support.

Complete project management of the depots refurbishment. Inclusive of Traction Overhead Line modifications and all building services.

Hyundai Rotem EMU Depot
From truck to depot, installed and commissioned then provided training to Hyundai Rotem personnel. We now provide ongoing maintenance and support for the new and existing Mobile Jacks at the depot.
Mobil Bund
Electrical work was required to allow for the site bund to be upgraded.
Traction Group’s scope included site wide electrical installation including cable containment, flood lighting, control relocation and specialist bonding.
Auckland Transport
A project that included the seismic design, fabrication, foundations, installation and training of a bogie and wheel set storage system.
The system comprises of four rows of storage three racks high.
Wellington Cable Car Limited
Decommissioning of the Wellington Trolley Bus System.
Traction Group removed the feeder pillars servicing the overhead lines. All works completed under traffic management with specialist lifting equipment.
We also assisted the main contractor with the decommissioning of the overhead lines.
Kiwi Rail
Upgarde between Petone and Melling Junction to enable sufficient room to accommodate NZTA’s future cycleway.
The project included structure installation, overhead line modifications and redundant pole removal all within the rail corridor around existing overhead lines.
Wellington Cable Car Limited
Trolley Bus Protection Cabinet maintenance Lambton Quay Wellington.
Traction Group provided routine and preventative maintenance along with call out assistance for the road side protection cabinets, protecting the trolley bus overhead wires from Miramar to Wellington Railway Station.
Museum of New Zealand TePapa Tongarewa
Back of house office electrical fit-out.
The staged upgrade works allowed the museum staff to continue operating their 365-day operating schedule. The works were carried out during both normal and out of work hours, spread over two levels.

Lighting Control Upgrades
Upgrading obsolete lighting control panels thoughout the museum both front and back of house.
As TePapa’s preferred installer for the lighting upgrade, Traction Group changed some 2100 light fittings mostly out of hours, to enable compatability with the new controllers.
Wiri EMU Depot
Locally Operated Points System (LOPS)
Traction Group’s management team oversaw the installation and condensed programming of this project in a rail environment.
Most recently the addition of a south end repeater installation and commissioning.
